According to the experts of the American company “American Hotel & Lodging Association”, the hotel business shall be influenced by the three main tendencies this year.

First, the industry shall become “green”. The number of travelers who pay attention to environmental safety of hotels is constantly increasing. Therefore big hotel networks hire ecologists.

Another tendency is an increase in the cost of accommodation. In 2008 the average price for a hotel room exceeded the previous limit of $100 per night, and a decrease in tariffs can hardly be expected. Finally, tourists’ comfort requirements have changed. Besides standard needs such as bath, shower and bed, hotel guests consider necessary the presence of plasma TV sets and i-pod stations.
