Hunters have found an amazing albino deer on the west coast of Scotland. According to personnel of conservation organizations of the United Kingdom, location of the creature is concealed to protect it from poachers.

From time immemorial, appearance of a “mystical” white deer was connected with the other world, sorrows and wars. It terrified both mere mortals and monarchs. However, in the legend about King Arthur and Knights of the Round Table, the elusive albino deer symbolizes endless human urge towards spiritual perfection.

According to Fran Locart, who was the first to see the animal of the unusual coloring, “6 or 7-year old albino looked like a ghost in the herd of young reddish deer. When he stopped, he resembled a big boulder covered with white lichen on the Scottish highlands”.

The last white deer on the British Isles with the nickname “Snowy”, weighing 136 kilos, was killed at the border of counties Devon and Cornwall in the south west point of England. It was found headless, its head probably taken as a trophy. The poachers were definitely unfamiliar with the legendary stories, according to which killer of the rare creature incurs a curse.
