On the threshold of the Saint Valentine’s Day, one may make a list of the best places for kissing in Prague, one of the most romantic European cities. The list, however, can be successfully used after the holiday too. The first place in this peculiar rating is occupied by the Petrshin Hill, towering on the left bank of the river, the legendary lovers’ place, reflected in literature. In can be visited in any time of the year – the hill is equally beautiful in spring, autumn and winter. Lovers kiss by the statue of Karl Heiner Mach (Czech romantic poet), situated at the foot of the hill. They believe that this guarantee love for the whole year.

The second place is occupied by the Karlov Bridge. It is recommended to visit it at dawn, no later than 8 a.m., or late in the evening. During the day, the bridge is full of tourists, merchants, street artists. In the morning and in the evening the bridge is free of people, and you may properly penetrate into the mystical atmosphere of the place.

The third place in the list is occupied by the Prague Castle, which is recommended for visiting at night: at 18.00. organized excursions end and tourists start going away. However, some visitors know that the territory of the castle is open till late in the evening, when you may walk under the moon-light along the spacious yards, unusually calm during this time, as well as along the cathedral and the Golden Street to the ancient steps, leading down to Mala Strana. The gateway to the castle is closed at 23.00 from November to March and at 0.00 in the rest time of the year.

The fourth place is occupied by the Novy Svet Street, one of the most magic places of the city. This place is worth visiting at dawn or at sunset. According to the authors, you are especially recommended to visit this street during the snowstorm, provided you have appropriate footwear on.

The fifth place is occupied by the fortress Vyshegrad, the former residence of monarchs; the sixth place – by the park Stromovka; the seventh – by Mala Strana; the eighth – by the Deer Moat; the ninth – by boating in the Vltava river, and the tenth – by a box in the National Theatre, which you are recommended to approach in a limousine.
