Here is the list of the most impressive hotels of the world, where you can feel like a royal person at least for a night.
The first place was given to the Amberly Castle in Great Britain. It has been bought by the Queen Elizabeth I and it's walls have been stormed by the Oliver Cromwell. Now the castle is turned into a luxury hotel with antique furniture, tennis court and jacuzzi.
The second place takes the Burg Gutenfels Castle in Germany. Unlike the other rich decorated fortresses, it has kept it's ancient style. It still has mica windows, creaking floors and dingy gobelins with worn inscriptions of the previous inhabitants of the castle.
The third place goes to the Moroccan fortress-hotel Kasbah du Toubkal at the foot of the Jebel Toubkal mountain - the highest mountain in the Northern Africa. You can't get to the fortress by a private plane or a limo - the tourists are usually brought there with donkeys.
The fourth place takes Xara Palace hotel, located at Malta in Mdina. This palace has been the residence of many famous people and during the World War II it has been taken by the Britain.
The fifth place went to the Longs Park Castle. There the tourists can see the original ceilings with wooden girders, stone walls and rooms with separate winding stairs.
The sixth position takes one of the oldest castles in the world - Chateau St. Philippe, located in the picturesque town underneath the Alps.
The last place in the eight take together the French castle Chateau de Saint-Loup, surrounded by a water pit and the American fort Castle on the Hudson, where you can see New York from it's towers. |
