The world largest airplane will be tuned with gold. |
A Saudi sheik has ordered the A380 Airbus liner tuning. It will be covered with gold. The biggest liner will become the first golden and the most expensive plane in the world. It will cost $500 million for the billionaire from the Middle East.
Prince El-Valid bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz El-Saud is the cousin of the king of the Saudi Arabia. The prince is one of the richest businessmen in the world. His fortune is estimated in $30 billion. Besides, El-Valid is the member of the still short list of billionaires that have bought the biggest passenger airplane in the world - A380 Airbus. His majesty has paid for this plane $320M.
Now the prince is going to spend $180 to decorate his flying palace. The journalists are still unsure which exactly German company will perform the tuning of the plane, but it is already clear that it is one of the Hamburg corporations, where the Airbus Germany main office is located.
The owner has ordered to cover the plane from the outwards with tinsel, what will cost $60. In the cabin there will be a luxury guest-room for the prince and his 25 faithful assistants. There will be also a dining room for 14 people, decorated with marble and a bar, decorated with gobelins in the colors of the Arabian desert.
At the places where in the passenger airplanes are usually the economy class seats installed, the prince Al-Valid has ordered to install the bath with jakuzzi and sauna. The Jakuzzi will be equipped with a special system that will compensate the turbulence during the flight.
After having fun in the sauna, the prince can go tho the cinema with luxury leather seats of desert colors or into a gym. After watching movies and doing some sports, the billionaire can get a sleep in a luxury bedroom, that has a king-size bed in the form of a Bedouin tent. The reporters have already given a name to the design of the plane: "Lawrence, the Arabic meets the Star Wars".
In all the guest bedrooms there are baths and systems of direct link to the stewards that will wait for the orders of the Prince and his guests in the tail of the plane. The tuning work is planned to be accomplished in 2 years. All this time the Al-Valid, that owns the Savoy hotel in London, will have to fly his "ordinary" private 747 Jumbo. |
