Mancation - a holiday for real men

The recreation for real men exists since the first mammoth hunts. And now it's the time to recreate the traditions - the trend for the exclusive rest for men is being revived.

The word "mancation", has been taken from "The Break-Up" movie of the year 2006. The term has quickly spread in the American hotel business.

According to the statistics, the incomes from the group vacations in USA make up 40 billion dollars. 8 million groups - consisting of men and women, also mixed - are traveling yearly. Each member of the group spends in average 800 dollars, and men spend as usual more that women.

The prestigious hotel networks have opened in 2007 their first "mancation" directions. These are divided into 2 groups: for the "metrosexuals", appreciating glamour and cosmetic procedures and for the "retrosexuals", who do not pay much attention to the beauty, but love luxury and rich splendid food.

For the first group of men companies there are SPA-services and beauty salons and for the secong category of men - various active programs like heli-ski, quad mountain climbing and others.

In spite of the currently small amount of men companies booking exactly "mancations", the idea slowly gains popularity. Such active fishing or hunting tours are surely convenient for the wealthy men that do not have enough time to plan a vacation that combines comfort and hobby.
