A passenger has sued the airline for the flight spent in the toilet. |
A New York citizen has sued the JetBlue Airways Corp airline for more than 2 million dollars because he had to spend more than 3 hours of flight sitting in the lavatory.
According to the words of Gokhan Mutlu, the pilot has forced him to give his seat to the stewardess, because the tip-up seat for the cabin crew has seemed "uncomfortable" for her.
Multu was traveling with the flight San Diego - New York with a special coupon that stands for the ticket. The collaboratives of the JetBlue airline have the right to give such flight admissions to their relatives and friends. After one and half hours of the flight the passenger had to exchange the seats with the stewardess.
But one of the pilots did not let Multu to take the tip-up seat, telling that it is supposed only for the collaboratives of the airline. The pilot has sent the poor guy to spend some time in the lavatory, telling that this is "his plane" and Multu should be thankful for being let into the plane at all.
So, the unlucky passenger has spend several hours in the lavatory, not having a possibility to fasten a seat belt even when the plane got into a turbulent zone.
He affirms that the airline has violated the federal laws, exposing his life to danger. The case has been transferred to the court at the end of the last week, but there are still no comments from JetBlue Airways Corp. |
