Probably, every inhabitant of a megapolis dreams about an escape to the nature, to forget traffic jams, crowds and mobile phones at least for some time. Here are 10 of the most peaceful places in the world, where a tired tourist could have a rest:

1. Tristan da Cunha Island
The most distant inhabited place of the earth. The archipelago is located in the southern part of the Atlantic ocean in 2800 kilometers to the west from the South African Republic. You can really have your time alone here - at the only inhabited island only 300 people live constantly and there are not more than 400 guests during the year. There are no regular flights to this lost world and you can get there only with fishermen from SAR. Here you will see the unusual volcanic landscape of the islands, hospitable islanders and total absence of crime.

2. Cotswolds, England
The Cotswolds hills in the Gloucestershire - are the pastoral villages with houses of sandstone, covered with roses and honeysuckle romantic estates, ancient churches and pubs. Even the Englishmen consider this land a "very-very English England". And int the luxury Cotswolds House hotel in the Chipping Campden town likes to stay the supermodel Kate Moss.

3. Patagonia, Chile
The still unexplored southern part of the country with astonishing landscapes, the land of the wild and severe beauty, the country of contrasts. Colossal glaciers of all the impossible colors, kilometer-high vertical ricks, fjords that cut the land for dozens of kilometers, volcanoes, waterfalls, thermal wells.

4. Kauai Island, Hawaii
The less developed and probably the most beautiful island of the Hawaii archipelago. It is the most moist place on the Earth with wild green flora. The island is ridged with 43 snow-white beaches with palms and in it's center there is a 1600 meters tall extinct volcano Waialeale. Kauai attracts tourists, surfers and hippies from all over the world. The island is cut with the Waimea canyon for 23 kilometers deep. The Na Pali coast looks also very beautiful, where the rocks vertically dive into the sea.

5. Kiribati, Micronesia
33 coral islands in the equatorial part of the Pacific Ocean are spread out for 4 thousands kilometers. The only country in the world, located simultaneously in all the 4 hemispheres. The inhabitants of this country are the first of all the Earth citizens except Antarctic - celebrate the New Year. And the Phoenix archipelago since the January of this year is the largest sea natural reserve in the world. The islands are rich with coconut palms, the snow-white sand of the beaches is washed with the azure waves of the ocean.

6. Algonquin park, Canada
The national park in the South Ontario, in only 3 hours drive from Toronto. The civilization is represented here with only several wooden huts and places for campings. All the rest of the territory - approximately 200 kilometers wide and 200 long - is the wild forest with century-old pines, lakes glimmering of the trout abundance, rash rivers and picturesque knolls. You can hike here, go fishing, take canoe trips, meet elks, beavers, bears, foxes and wolves.

7. Thornybush reserve, South African Republic
The private reserve Thornybush neighbors the Kruger National PArk and occupies 11,5 thousands hectares of the plains, covered with thick bush. Tent camps are lodged in the middle of the wild nature, that represent the good old fashioned colonial atmosphere. There is a marvelous view over savanna from the terraces. If you take a safari, you could meet an elephant, lion or a leopard.

8. Morzine, France
The mountain ski resort in the Alps is located at the border of Frace with Switzerland, in the heart of the Portes du Soleil district. It is wonderful not only because of the quality ski tracks, but also with the calm atmosphere, picturesque landscapes and lots of entertainment possibilities besides of the ski. You can ride a snowmobile, fly the paraplane and go hiking.

9. Fernando de Noronha, Brazil
An archipelago of the volcanic origin, located in 350 kilometers from the north-eastern coast of Brazil has 21 islands. Only 240 people are allowed to be here simultaneously and such inaccessibility surely increases the charm of the islands. All visitors have to pay taxes for the ecology to preserve the virgin beauty of the locality. Only the main island is inhabited - exactly there the tourists are lodged. Actually, the only entertainment in this paradise on Earth - are the ocean and the sun, but do you need anything else?

10. Vieques island, Puerto Rico
After the American armed forces have left the Caribbean island Vieques, located 6 miles away from the main island of Puerto-Rico, the complete rest reigns here. And the wild forests and kilometers of the white beaches didn't ever disappear.

Though there are places, that the tourists seeking for comfort and safety should avoid.

The most unsuitable places for rest:
1. Port Moresby, the capital of the Papua New Guinea. AIDS epidemics, horrible criminal situation.
2. Linfen, China. Polluted atmosphere.
3. Bujumbura - the capital of the poorest country in the world - Burundi. High corruption level.
4. Pyongyang - the capital of North Korea. Totalitarism
5. Oklahoma-City, USA. Tornado threat.
6. Chernobyl, Ukraine. High radiation level after the accident at the atomic power plant.
7. Mogadishu - the capital of Somali. Armed conflicts, the tourists could be kidnapped to get ransom.
8. Yakutsk, Russia. Too long to get there, the coldest inhabited place on Earth.
9. Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Too dirty air.
10. Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. Unstoppable bloodshed, high terrorism risk.
