"I want to wake up in the city that never sleeps"... sings a song about the city of millions lights in houses, thousands of signboards, twinkling with neon speckles and skyscrapers... skyscrapers... skyscrapers...
"New York, New York" - continues the song, and imperceptibly for ourselves we are transferred to this city of dreams, dreams about fast-buck money, about the great success, but simultaneously the city of deep disappointments and serious tests. In this concrete and glass jungle where the day flies by two, day after day hastens the ant hill of people: smart women in austere suits, elegant men, yellow taxis carrying casual passengers, thousands of cars moving on wide avenues and streets of the city. Everyone hastens somewhere, everybody dances, using the longlasting trainings of the jive tempo. And it seems that it is already in the blood of everyone living in New York. About 200 nationalities create this sensation of constantly raging life. Incomparable colour of the population gives sensation of a many-sided nature and a motley atmosphere of a carnival. The difference is that this carnival lasts the whole day long, all the year round, among concrete gorges of business quarters, in the close space of which in some mysterious way lives such a great multitude of peoples.

And in fact once... Five districts among which were Bronx, Stein-Island, Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan have united in the end of 19 centuries in a megapolis under the name of New York. The glory has come to it after the first skyscrapers have been built. They became the symbols of city, became the victims of the tragedy of 2001. The glory of a symbol and tragedy have intertwined, yet they have remained the characteristic features of this boiling city of neon.
Walking and continuing humming the song – we are making our way further and above – "... And find I'm king of the hill - top of the heap". And not without a purpose, after all, Empire State building has remained one of the symbols of the city; it was created in the style of art-deco, which is admired by millions of tourists onlooking the side-streets, seeming so tiny and so elaborate, as if it is a small model of a big. This sight still remains one of the best sights of Manhattan.

New York is the city of contrasts, the characteristic feature of which is constant movement. In the city you can find rooms in hotels of any price category, style and sizes. Starting to wander along New York it is necessary to consider its sizes and to wear comfortable shoes, and in the evening, having decided to dance to the famous Frank Sinatra’s song “New York, New York”, under the twinkling lights, you should know that tips in New York make 15%, otherwise drowning in lights, charms of city, it is possible to get into a scrape. But on the other hand – this is the City itself. It is always splendid, always amazes and astonishes, but it is necessary to note, that the most pleasant temperature is in April, May, September and October.

Hearing out the song, the sight once again slides in a distance for East-River, to the island of skyscrapers which appears as immence scenery to the fantastic play about the future.
