An American resort hastens the tourists until the ocean gets evaporated |
The popular American resort Ocean City in the north-western part of the Maryland state tells the tourists to come for a rest as soon as possible before the ocean gets evaporated. "We advice the citizens to come right now, before the ocean is evaporated. This could be your last chance to have a rest at the ocean shore.",- tells the video commercial.
In the humoristic advertisement that is stylized after the famous radio arrangement of the year 1938 of Orson Welles after the novel of Herbert Wells "War of the Worlds", the mayor of the Ocean City Rick Meehan warns that "according to the latest research, the ocean will evaporate in a billion years".
"This happens not because of the global warming, but because our planet gets constantly closer to the sun what will lead to the evaporation of our wonderful resorts",- tells the mayor of the city.
The public relations director of one of the tour operators Donna Abbott has noted that such a funny advertisement will help the Americans to distract themselves from the economical problems and they would forget for a while about business and come for a holiday to Ocean City.
"We understand all the importance of the ecological situation, but nowadays, when radio and television broadcast only negative news, people should understand that they have the right for rest and leisure",- thinks Donna Abbott.
In 1938 and American director Orson Welles has performed a radio arrangement after the Herbert Wells novel "War of the Worlds", having made a parody as if it was a nemo.
From six million people that have listened to that broadcast, one million has believed that USA has been attacked by the Martians. Mass panic took place, dozens of thousands people have left their homes. The authorities have spent one and half months to convince the population that there was no assault. |
