How to avoid a flight delay? |
While the majority of tourists feel the helplessness, skilled air passengers take actions. Here are some pieces of advice for those who want to avoid a delay of flight:
• Whenever it’s possible choose morning flights to avoid the domino effect of delays during a day.
• Avoid the last return flight not to remain for a night at the airport probably even without any compensation for the hotel.
• Choose non-stop routes.
• Do not travel at rush hours, if it’s possible do it better on weekends.
• Choose the airline which differs from others by the duly flights supply.
• The local small airports are more preferable than large airports where there is a crowd of people.
• Be guided by the site of the National Association of the Air Transport Control (NATCA). Also there are advices and lists of the most overloaded directions.
If the delay is already declared, still you can do something to minimize the damage.
« Everything depends on how quickly you will move. It is as the market in Cairo – you should discuss everything». Do not forget about your luggage, display interest in its further destiny. Try to find the flights of the other air carriers on your route and to get in the reserve lists. Be quiet, patient and polite. Probably, the cashiers will prepare tickets for the other flight or hotel for those passengers who did not shout at them.
Certainly, some things are beyond the control of passengers and airlines. Delays are caused by a great number of tourists, mechanical malfunctions and bad weather. It is impossible to foresee everything. Be positive and remember that sometimes it is better to be late than to have time to do something - there are a lot of examples, confirming this thing.
