A married couple from the Netherlands did not guess at all, that their trip to the territory of Addo Elephant National Park - a popular place of tourist pilgrimage in the South African Republic will lead to such results.

Admired by the beauty of South African nature, the couple have stopped the car to photograph the black rhinoceros - it was grazing near the road peacefully.

The tourists, who have become involuntary bystanders of an incident which has happened soon, assured later, that spouses have begun to laugh at amusing appearance of the rhinoceros. It, certainly, has not understood the words, but has felt the intonation clearly and has realized, that people have been laughing at it. "The tank of savanna", as local people called the rhinoceros, could not forgive this.

As a result the animal has turned round, ran up and from all its force struck the bumper of their car. Then it has repeated the attack, smashed the windscreen, after that it has left with dignity.

The scared Dutch have hardly reached the administration and have told about the incident there. "Such a thing happens in our park for the first time", - they have assured the tourists in the office.

When the indignant tourists have answered, that they were none the better for it and they demanded to pay the cost of the broken car, the employees have answered: "What for reason? The rhinoceros has accepted you for "paparazzi", and nobody loves them - neither people, nor animals".

Do not forget, that this summer one of the tourists, who have arrived to the South African Republic in order to admire its innocent wild nature and population, became a victim of the curious lion.

The auto owner had only to leave the transport and to move aside as this young king of beasts has chosen a front wheel of his lorry and has begun to gnaw a tire. The reason for such behavior of a lion was not its hunger, but the curiosity of this animal from the cat family.

According to the guidebooks statement, South Africa – or, better to say, the South African Republic, is one of the most fascinating tourist directions of the new millennium. There are a lot of reasons to visit this country - either to admire the beauty of the landscapes, or for the rich wild nature, its cultural heritage or for the sake of its remarkable climate when the sun shines all the year round. Besides, because of the favorable situation at the currency market, it is possible to allow yourself to ponce: wines, restaurants and souvenirs are offered at incredibly attractive prices.

And the safari, according to the opinion of informed people, is the main reason for visiting Africa - not the casinos and "entertaining centers” of the Sun-city at all. The safari means: animals at arm’s length, wild nature which looks at you from the heart of the African bush. It also means thousands of reserved kilometers of Kruger National Park, where these wonderful wild beasts - giraffes, lions, rhinoceroses, antelopes, cheetahs - wander in the wild.

For sure, for a long time a safari does not mean hunting with a gun any more, but a classical case of "photohunting". You can see the reserves rich with animal wild nature throughout the South African Republic. "The great five" animals - lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros and buffalo - live in many of them.

National parks, such as, for example, the world-famous Kruger National Park - it is equal to the Wales by its area - in general, open the gate for independent auto-tourists and offer accommodation in motels of the park with self-service.

Private reserves are focused on foreign visitors. They offer you to have fascinating safaris at dawn or before sunset, in open jeeps or on foot, but you will be anyways accompanied by skilled huntsmen, who are ready to share their knowledge with you. Lodges and campsites in these reserves are always fit out with luxury; they also offer safe comfort and service at the highest level.

Suppers often take place in the fresh air, under the stars, around of the big fire. Possessing the coast extending more, than on 2000 miles, from the Atlantic in the west, till the Indian Ocean in the east, South Africa is the fine sea vacation place. There is the huge choice of water entertainments - beginning from diving among coral reeves, surfing, fishing and ending with sunbathing.
