Exposition of confiscated objects opened at Canadian airport |
Passengers of air carriers not always imagine the rules of luggage transportation of different objects and stuffs. My acquaintance once tried to carry into aircraft bound Italy a penknife - just because he was planning to spend a couple of weeks in camping in the tremendous Italian Alps. But where have you ever seen a tourist without a penknife? As all his baggage was a hand luggage the dangerous object was revealed by astounded customs officers right on the way to the aircraft.
Though it is not a rare case when airport officers have to deal with such cases of gross infringement of customs rules.
In big international airports during a week up to hundreds of thousands of forbidden for transportation objects are taken out.
At the Canadian international airport Pearson has been opened an exposition of confiscated passenger items. It's main aim is to demonstrate what exactly can not be transported in an aircraft and thus to reduce quantity of infringements. Airport officers complaint that explanations and disqualification inspection takes a lot of their time and considerably increases the customs passing time. At this amusing exhibition one can see usual gas spray containers and aerosols neighboring exotic objects such as farmyard manure and monkey pelts as well. |
