In the early September in American town Point Pleasant, West Virginia, “Mothman festival” that draws about 2 thousand people every year takes place.

Yet this event is not the only thing that ties this mysterious creature with Point Pleasant. In this town it is possible to see the statue of Mothman, drink “Frappuccino of Mothman”, taste pizza in the form of Mothman and visit “Mothman museum”, where handwritten observations of eyewitnesses, various press cuttings and the requisite from making “Prophecy of Mothman” film of 2002 featuring Richard Gear are exhibited.

Who is Mothman?
For the first time this strange man was seen on the 15th of November 1966 in the place of the former ammunition factory. The eyewitnesses described him as a two-meter tall creature with red eyes and wings behind back like those of bird. However on the 15th of December of the following year, on the day of Silver bridge collapse that connected Point Pleasant and Ohio, Mothman suddenly disappeared and no one have seen him since then. There are rumors that the collapse of bridge, which carried away 46 people, and the appearance of Mothman are interconnected somehow.
