An ice hotel in which 40 people can accommodate will be opened in Norway |
According to the Norwegian Tourism Council Agency in Moscow, the southernmost ice hotel in the world will be opened in the Norwegian winter park Hunderfossen in December.
The source states that 100 trucks of snow and 50 tons of ice had been used for the construction of the palace.
"The hotel will include 15 rooms, in which 40 guests can be accommodated at once, and also saunas, a restaurant and a conference hall. Even a fireplace will be there. However, air temperature in the rooms will vary from -3 to -7 degrees centigrade", he added.
Finnish and Norwegian resorts began to offer ice hotels as a kind of a tourist attraction and simultaneously as a place for accommodation several years ago.
The hotel in the Hunderfossen will become the southernmost from them. |
