Millionaire Fair Opened in Amsterdam |
The fifth Amsterdam millionaire fair opened for visitors on Friday.
Its participants – 246 internationally known companies – presented luxurious jewelry, clothes, furniture, video and audio appliances, cosmetics, pieces of art, automobiles, bicycles, scooters, yachts, planes, helicopters and other goods.
Its visitors included not only millionaires, well-to-do businessmen, managers of big companies, but also famous artists, actors, TV hosts, sportsmen and journalists.
Performances of famous artists and jazz concerts take place on a big podium. Fashion shows by Cavalli, Burberry, Gianfranco Ferre, Versace and Moschino shall take place during the fair.
The Amsterdam company “Gassan/Amsterdam Diamond Center” has made the biggest stand with products of such famous brands as “Chopard”, “Breitling”, “Audemars Piquet”, “Breguet”, IWC, “Ebel”. You may see and buy various jewelry items and watches. By the way, the visitors may see unique items that cannot be seen or bought in any other place of the world.
Among luxurious cars the most attractive brands are the new model of Rolls-Roys Drophead Coupe and such perfect cars as Bentley Continental GT Speed and Maserati Quattroporte QTS, as well as Landrovers designed for well-to-do people.
Here you shall also find limousines offered by the company “Big Limo”. These luxurious 9.5-meter long cars, equipped with the Chrysler diesel engine, have the whole luxury-set: a bar with champagne, a mirror ceiling with the star-sky, a TV made of liquid crystals and the latest model of the audio system.
Among yachts and boats, presented this year, the special attention was attracted by the high-speed boat with solar battery engines. This unique boat was developed by students of the Technical University of the Dutch city of Delft. It shall be produced by special orders. The solar battery boat was presented to public by the Dutch spaceman Wubbo Ockels who works on the issue of regenerating energy sources.
The most perfect models of video and audio appliance were presented by such companies as “Samsung”, “Bang & Olufsen”, “Giorgio Armani”. Private planes are offered by the company “Solid Air”, the most rapidly developing operator of private air-transportations in Europe. The tourist company “Talisman” offers astonishing journeys all over the world, for example, culinary journeys to China, Peru, Malaysia and the Indonesian island of Bali. The neighboring stand offers property in Dubai (the United Arab Emirates).
Pieces of art are offered by the company “Velazquez Art”. In particular, it has presented works of the modern Spanish artist Goyo Dominguez that are very popular in Dubai, Marbella, London and Paris today. The average price of his pictures makes up from 20 to 50 thousand Euros.
Stands of the five-star hotels offer their well-to-do customers a wide variety of services. Famous chefs demonstrate the art of cookery. The visitors enjoy “Piper-Heiadsieck” champagne, “Remy Martin” cognac and “Chivas Regal” whiskey.
10 December, the last day of the fair, the so called “Business Monday”, shall witness business-seminars, presentations and numerous business meetings. |
